By 2040, California’s older adult population is projected to reach 11.4 million (28% of the state’s total population) with significant racial and ethnic demographic shifts already underway. California’s Master Plan for Aging (MPA) is a bold blueprint for transformational change and a statement of our values as a state that prioritizes the needs of our diverse and growing aging population. Since the MPA’s launch in January 2021, the Newsom Administration and the Legislatures have committed billions of dollars in unprecedented investments to advance the MPA.
